Rotary Park is a large, 100 acre park located just west of downtown Ellensburg, Washington. The park itself is home to many sports fields including baseball and soccer, but also has a handful of nice walking and bicycling paths. One option for hiking is to walk a loop around the perimeter of the park - roughly one and a half miles in length.

Begin from the large, central parking area. You can then follow a paved pathway that takes you alongside the baseball fields until joining a gravel road. Turn right on the road.

Continue along the road with great wide open views. As you approach Interstate 90 you’ll then turn sharply right to continue along the loop. Optionally, you can walk under the Interstate to access Riverfront Park for more hiking.

Continuing along the loop you’ll find yourself walking on an elevated gravel road, again with great views. You’ll pass by the soccer fields, then turn right to come back to the parking lot where you first began.
