This loop hike is located in Clarence Fahnestock State Park, New York.  The Pelton Pond parking lot is large and the immediate area can be crowded due to picnic options overlooking the pond and near parking.

From the north end of the parking lot walk in until access to the Pelton Pond trail.  Turn left and follow for a short distance until the trail makes a sharp turn right toward the pond.  This is easily missed.  The trail continues down to the pond and follows the shoreline about half way around.  The trail meets up with a forest access road.  This becomes the Roaring Brook trail.  Motoe vehicles are not permitted past the campground area.

At the one mile mark from the trailhead, the Roaring Brook trail meets a junction with the Pasture Loop trail.  Turn left onto this and follow for one mile where the Pasture Loop trail meets the Stillwater Loop trail.  Stay left and follow the Stillwater Loop trail for about 1.3 miles.  The trail ends on the Roaring Brook trail.  To complete the loop, turn right on the Roaring Brook trail.  Follow until the trail ends back at the Pelton Pond trail.  Turn left and follw the trail around Pelton Pond to the parking lot.
