Cushetunk Mountain Preserve is a small park located on the border of Clinton and Readington touwnships.  There is a large gravel parking lot that can fill up quick on weekends.  From the parking lot, walk to the south east corner for the yellow trail that start at a cleared powerline trail.  A short distance down this trail and it turns into the forest.

Follow the yellow trail until a junction with the blue trail.  Keep right, onto the blue trail and follow for about 1.2 miles to a junction with the red trail.  This red trail is considered the Cushetunk trail and eventially becomes a trail with white markers.  After one mile on the white trail, there is junction.  Turning right goes directly back to the trailhead parking lot.  For a longer loop, continue straight for another mile until reaching a large fence.  There is no trail makers along the fence.  Turn right and continue up a hill to a ridge and the white trail.

This now joins the white trail that leads back to the trailhead.
