This is a nice hike in the Tonto National Forest that is very popular with mountain bikers.  If you hike during the week, there is not too many but the weekends could be crowded.  The trail is easy to follow and is well marked.  Plenty of Saguaro's along the roots and there is little shade the entire route.

From the trailhead on N. Usery Pass rd, follow the Wild Horse trail for 1.3 miles. Here, there is a trail junction with the Stinger Loop trail.  Turn right here to complete the loop in a counterclockwise direction.  To go clockwise, continue another .75 miles to the next junction with the Stinger Loop trail and turn right.

The Stinger Loop trail is more rocky and remote with nice views of the surrounding mountains and cactus.  The Wild Horse trail is relatively smooth and easier to hike.

Recommended to hike early morning due to the full exposure to the sun and heat of the day.
