Klondike Bluffs Road Dispersed Camping

Klondike Bluffs Road (BLM 142) offers ample room for free, dispersed camping. Many of the surrounding areas have started charging fees (Willow Springs Road, Dalton Wells Road) but the camping here is still free of charge with a maximum stay of 14 days.

There are a wide array of campsites, but this is also a popular area that fills up quickly. The further back you drive the more scenic the sites become and the better chances you have of snagging one entirely to yourself.

The campsites aren’t anything spectacular, mostly just large open areas off the side of the road, some with existing firerings. You will have great views stretching for miles in each direction.

There are no amenities here, including no toilets (please have your own portable toilet or way of packing out waste).
