La Paz County Park features a large campground set along the banks of the Colorado River.
With 114 RV sites, the campground is a popular destination for the snowbird population and can fill up during weekends. The campground also offers dry camping, as well as general day use.
Each camping option has a varying degrees of amenities available, with rates varying accordingly. RV camping options have sites with or without electric hooks up, with or without shade ramadas, and locations near dog parks or along the riverside fence. Dry camping sites also have a variety of options, mostly based on location and proximity to certain amenities.
The campground is spacious, with playgrounds, drinking water, volleyball courts, a boat launch, RV dump station, and a strip of sandy beach area, among other amenities.
The county park is a popular tube floating destination, and programs and classes such as Sewing and Quilting, Yoga, Boat Racing, and Bingo are offered through the park. There is also a paved walking path along the beach, and semi annual swap meets inside the park.
Weekly rates are available. Visitors who are interested in camping should visit the La Paz County Parks page to familiarize themselves with programs and the variety of use and camping rates.
