Buckskin Mountain Campground makes up a sizable portion of Buckskin Mountain State Park.
The campground has 80 sites, with a large number of those dedicated to RVs, including sites with electrical hookups and 15 sites with sewer hookups. A dump station is also available inside the park.
Buckskin Mountain is one of the more developed State Park campgrounds in the area - wtih a protected swimming site, boat ramp, network of hiking trails, fenced in pet area, recreation are with horseshoes and cornhole games, and a cactus garden walking path all in the small park area. An onsite market has a selection of groceries, gifts, float tubes, and firewood for sale. Each camp site contains a table and grill.
The single downside may be that all sites are located beside each other along a small hub of parallel roads, so when full, there is very little privacy between neighboring sites. Tent campers can choose their spot right next to the Colorado River.
Free showers are located inside modern bathroom facilities.
The campground has a policy of a two night minimum stay when staying during weekends from April 1st through September 30th (campers must register for both Friday and Saturday nights), and a three night minimum stay during Memorial Day, Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends (campers must register for Friday night through Sunday night if booking during these weekends).
