Cattail Cove Campground

Cattail Cove Campground is a scenic 61 site camping area within the Cattail Cove State Park area along the shores of Lake Havasu.

The campground is laid out along several parallel paved roads, and can accommodate mid to large RVs. Each of the sites has power hookups. While the downside to the campground may be that sites are located beside one another, eliminating any feeling of privacy between neighbors when the campground is full, Cattail Cove makes up for this with the number of amenities and features in and around the campground.

Each site is a close walk to the park's beach area, where sandy shores stretch into the calm waters at the edge of Lake Havasu. Free life jackets are available for use to park visitors. The shores are dotted with several shaded picnic benches. Within the camping area, visitors can find a fish cleaning station, horseshoe pits, a small native plant lined nature walk with shaded benches, amphitheater for ranger led programs, and a book exchange shelf.

Additional features in the park area, all of which can be reached on foot, are the several hiking trails, and a boat ramp. 

Campers have access to an RV dump station. Water and drinking fountains are available at the bathroom buildings around the campground.

In addition to those sites located in the main park area, Cattail Cove also has numerous boat in camp sites along the nearby river banks.

Each site has a picnic bench and fire ring. There is a fair amount of shade over the campground provided by the trees.

Park rules state that any campers reserving a site during a weekend from April 1st-September 30th must pay for a two night minimum stay that includes Friday and Saturday nights. Visitors looking to book during the Memorial Day, Labor Day or Columbus Day weekends must book a minimum of three nights that includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
