Lathrop Trail TO White Rim Road is a 15.1-mile out-and-back trail in Canyonlands National Park. From the Lathrop Trail Trailhead off Grand View Point Road, the trail descends to White Rim Road. Before entering the canyon it crosses Gray's Pasture, an open grassland mesa that offers sweeping views of the canyon below and the Colorado River. The trail descends steeply into the canyon, crossing uneven terrain, rocky trails, and stone steps. At White Rim Road, you'll find impressive backcountry camping opportunities and scenic views of Airport Tower.
This is a strenuous trek that involves a steep descent and a steep ascent to return. You’ll enjoy panoramic views featuring unique sandstone rock formations, the Colorado River and the La Sal Mountains.
