Niagara Creek Campground

Niagara Creek Campground is a Forest Service operated basic campground with 10 sites located along Highway 108 is the western area of Sonora Pass.

Lying down a well-graded gravel road to Niagara Creek, the campground itself lies along a double track gravel loop. Each site has a picnic bench and fire pit, and a single vault toilet facility serves the campground. While most sites are set adjacent to each other in an exposed flat area, site 1 lies down a barely visible road to the right soon after entering the campground loop, and has the most privacy of any of the camp sites.

Set an an elevation of 6600' within the Stanislaus National Forest, Niagara Creek Campground closes during winter snow conditions. Its general open season is from May to October annually. No reservations are available for the campground. Campers are asked to select their site and then pay at the entrance station. Trailers are not advised here due to the narrow gravel path and minimal parking space at each site.

The campground is poorly marked from Highway 108, which contributes to the privacy of the area, however visitors should be prepared with navigation if looking to reach the campground.
