Haramokngna American Indian Cultural Center

The Haramokngna American Indian Cultural Center is located at Red Box Saddle, off Angeles Crest Highway (CA-2), within Angeles National Forest. It is a popular rest spot for travelers along the Gabrielino National Recreation Trail, a trail whose name comes from the Native people who were relocated to the San Gabriel Mission. 

At the cultural center, visitors can learn about the five Native tribes of the San Gabriel Mountains. These tribes include the Tongva, Tataviam, Chumash, Kitanemuk, and Serrano.

The center is open on the weekends from 10:00am - 6:00pm. 

FOOD AND WATER

This is a popular rest stop for hikers, runners and bikers who can usually find potable water from a spigot located in front of the cultural center. Some snacks and beverages are available for purchase on the weekends when the center is open.
