Manning Camp is a backcountry campground located within a ponderosa pine forest at 8,000 feet of elevation in Saguaro National Park, east of Tucson, Arizona. The camp is only accessible by foot and involves a minimum 15-mile hike with about 5,300 feet of elevation gain and some incredible biodiversity. The camp features 6 sites, the historical Manning Cabin, expansive views. 

ACCESS: The camp is not accessible by vehicle, hike-in only. 7.5 miles one way from the Turkey Creek Trailhead.

TOTAL CAMPSITES: 6

PERMIT: A permit is required for all overnight visits and can be obtained from www.recreation.gov

FEE: The permit fee is $8.00 per campsite, per night. 

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE: No more than 6 people to one campsite and maximum group is 18 people. 

WATER

There is a perennial water source nearby that is generally reliable. All water should be treated/filtered before consumption. For current water reports, please contact the visitor center at 1-(520) 733-5153.
