Camp Hale East Fork Group Campground is a large group campsite that can accommodate up to 200 people. This makes it perfect for large gatherings, parties, family reunions or anything else you can think of! Reservations are required for the campground and can be made anywhere from 4 days to 12 months in advance at recreation.gov.
The campground is located in a wide, flat, open valley near the headwaters of the Eagle River and East Fork Eagle River. The river passes right beside the campground, and is a great place to fish for trout or just enjoy the wonderful view. There are also endless recreational opportunities nearby, including the 485 mile Colorado Trail that passes near the campground.
A large gathering area features several picnic tables, a large fire ring, and pedestal cooking grates. There is ample space for camping scattered throughout the campground, with many sites having picnic tables. You’ll also find vault toilets, but there is no drinking water available so bring your own.
As mentioned above, be sure to make your reservation in advance. Camp Hale East Fork Campground is open seasonally, usually mid May through early October.
