Bermuda Flat Recreation Area is an area along the shores of Roosevelt Lake that is open to seasonal dispersed camping.
Lying on sandy roads, the camping area, alternatively known as South and North Horse Pasture Campgrounds, is an open area where campers are able to stake out any open piece of dirt for their camp. As such, the lakeside area is prime real estate, and can get overrun and very crowded, particularly on weekends, but this is also one of the only areas on Roosevelt Lake where waterside camping is a possibility.
The campground is known for being a party spot, so this isn't the place to head to if you're looking for a quiet experience. Instead, lifted vehicles hauling RVs are the crowd you'll more than likely find here. The only amenities are a few vault toilets.
Bermuda Flat Recreation Area has a camping fee of $8 per night per vehicle, which is payable upon entering the campground.
The forest service posts an RV vehicle length of 32', and again, visitors should get out and check road conditions of the gravel before attempting to drive into the camping area.
There is a 14 day camping limit. The recreation area and campground are open from mid-February through mid-November each year, and then closes to all entry the remaining months of the year for a wildlife protection closure. There is no water available at the campground.
