Cholla Campground

Cholla Campground is a spacious 206-site camping area perched above the banks of Roosevelt Lake.

The campground is laid out over several loop areas with paved roads navigating throughout the area. The campground can handle RVs up to 32' in length. Sites are basic, with each site having a shaded picnic bench and fire ring. While the campground sites are above the banks and mostly out of view of Roosevelt Lake, several scenic sites do have a good view of the lake, and a boat ramp located in the campground makes accessing the lake quick and easy.

Cholla Campground is one of the largest solar powered campgrounds in the United States. The camping areas have a mix of RV and tent only camp sites.

Campers can self pay upon entering the campground. Reservations are available throughout peak season (November 1st through April 30th) at odd numbered sites. All even numbered sites during that period, and all sites within the campground May 1st through October 31st are available strictly first come, first served. Some of the camping loops are closed during non-peak season, which makes the loops remaining open more crowded.

Modern bathroom facilities with showers are spread throughout the campground. A dump station is available near the campground's entrance. Camp fees are $25 per night, with several double sites available for a fee of $50 per night.
