Windy Hill Campground

Windy Hill Campground is a part of the larger Windy Hill Recreation Area along the shore of Roosevelt Lake.

The campground contains 147 total sites spread out over multiple loop roads. Each site is basic, containing a covered picnic bench and fire ring beside a paved parking spot - vehicles are limited to 20 feet in length. 

Windy Hill Recreation Site sits on a peninsula jutting out into Roosevelt Lake, the largest lake in the central area of Arizona. The campground's close access to the lake makes it a popular area. With three boat ramps and one additional dock dedicated to paddlecraft, ease of getting onto the water, combined with several hiking trails and walks to blufftop views of the surrounding mountainous panorama are the features at this campground.

Most sites are available for $25 nightly, and several sites are double sites, which are available for $50 nightly. Bathroom facilities with showers are available in the campground.

Reservations for Windy Hill Campground can be made in advance. Reservations are only allowed on odd numbered camp sites from November 1st through April 30th. The remainder of the year and all other camp sites are first come, first served.
