Elmer's Bottle Tree Ranch is a quirky and unique free roadside attraction in the Victorville area along the old Route 66 highway path.

The ranch stands on a parcel, made up of a collection of old vintage bottles stacked on vertical posts - the bottle trees - along with many other whimsical displays in the open air setting. While creator Elmer Long has since passed away, the grounds remain open to visitors to walk through. The colorful glass, dusty antiques and sunny seemingly distant arid setting create an environment that allows visitors to get lost in their thoughts as they walk around the display.

The colorful posts and collection of signs, antique tools and machinery, tables and ephemera are not accompanied by any explanation or information. Visitors are welcome to simply walk through. There is no admission charge, though donations are accepted (inside a wishing well).

Elmer's Bottle Tree Ranch is simply a piece of unique and amusing outsider art open to travelers passing through the Mojave Desert.

More information can be found at the Bottle Tree Ranch website.
