Hayward Flat Campground

Hayward Flat Campground is a very popular destination located along the shores of Trinity Lake. Boating, fishing, swimming and water skiing are all popular activities here. Unfortunately the campground does not have a boat ramp, with the nearest being a 3 mile drive away. The lake can also be explored from shore and anglers can fish for catfish, bass, trout and kokanee.

The campground itself offers 98 campsites spread across 5 loops. Sites are all well shaded under Ponderosa pines and Douglas firs. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring, with some sites having bear boxes for safe food storage. No hookups are available, but drinking water and flush toilets are available throughout the campground.

Hayward Flat is open seasonally, usually mid May through mid September. Reservations are available and can be made in advance here.
