Kepuhi Beach is a relatively hidden area of shore on Kauai's northern coast. Tucked back in a neighborhood, the beach both benefits and is restricted by its extremely limited parking spots.
Two short paths access Kepuhi, one from either end of Alamoo Road. The roads tend to be unsigned and cell service can be non-existent in the area, so it's best to head here with an idea as to where to go. Both paths lead between homes to the shore. Kepuhi has the benefit of having a large stretch of reef set just offshore, so the waters can be good for snorkeling. However while there tend to be no large waves, water flowing over the reef can create a tidal flow, so check on conditions before heading in here.
A picnic bench is located at the end of the eastern access trail to the beach.
One of the important details of the beach is that parking is extremely limited. There are only a couple spots near either access path. So for those who can find a spot, Kepuhi is often quiet and with only a small handful of other visitors.
Aside from the picnic table, there is next to no shade on the beach. There are also no amenities of any kind at the parking area on or the beach itself. Nearest amenities are in the town of Hanalei.
