Keahua Arboretum Swimming Hole

The Keahua Arboretum Swimming Hole is a shallow wading area in Keahua Stream easily accessible from the adjacent road and parking area. 

At an elevation of over 500', the area up here is forested and slightly cooler than near Kauai's eastern beaches. The arboretum encompasses a small network of walking trails that branch out into the surrounding hillsides, though the stream is the popular focal point.

There are several areas that people tend to congregate - the busiest being at the ruins of the old cement bridge which provides easy access to the streams refreshingly cool waters. Downstream are a couple flat areas with steep paths leading down to the water as well.

There are a few picnic tables, but no other amenities here except for a lone vault toilet.

The lots here also provide some overflow parking for the limited spots at the Kuilau Ridge trailhead nearby. 

There is no fee to visit Keahua Arboretum Swimming Hole.
