Devil’s Canyon is a fair sized Forest Service campground located near the Abajo Mountains at an elevation of 7,400’ - about halfway between Monticello and Blanding off Highway 191. The area is quite nice and you’ll find ponderosa pines, pinyon pines, and junipers around most all campsites.

There are 42 individual campsites at Devil’s Canyon. The campground has two sections, a smaller loop and a larger loop (that is actually more of a straight road than a loop!). During shoulder seasons the larger loop may be closed, and the entire campground is closed during winter (exact dates vary year to year).

Campsites along the small loop feature paved areas around the picnic tables and fire pits making them ADA accessible. A handful of these sites also offer views of the surrounding mountains. The large loop meanwhile offers more secluded and primitive feeling campsites that are tucked away within the dense pine forest.

No hookups are available. Vault toilets and water (seasonally) are available throughout the campground.
