Echo Bay Campground

Echo Bay Campground is made up of two separate small campgrounds along the Overton Arm of Lake Mead within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The campground, as well as the area as a whole, takes on the feel of a minimal bordering on rustic section of the lake area. Echo Bay has a concrete boat launch offering access to this remote area of the lake, however there are no amenities at the boat launch and only basic ones located at the Echo Bay RV Park near the campgrounds. The location of Echo Bay Campground makes it an option for those visitors who may be looking to combine a trip into the nearby Valley of Fire State Park as well as Lake Mead.

Consisting of the Upper and Lower campgrounds, the Upper campground is the first that you will pass on the way in. This campground is spread amongst the brush on a flat hilltop setting, with sites sprinkled between the brush and trees. The only running water at the upper campground is located at the campground entrance, and bathrooms are basic with running water (no showers are located at either campground). There is more privacy at this campground due to its spread out layout.

The Lower campground is set along a single loop road nestled on the side of a wash. There are spigots with water at several points in this campground.

All camp sites have picnic tables and fire pits with grills. A self-pay kiosk is available at the entrance to both campgrounds. No reservations are available, with all sites being open on a first come, first serve basis.

An RV dump station is located at the upper campground. A few amenities can be found at the Echo Bay RV Park which is visible from both campground sites.
