Table Rock Beach is one of a handful of small cove beaches in Laguna Beach that is typically the domain of locals owing to their limited access and lack of tourist-friendly amenities.
Reached down a flight of 143 stairs through an old stone gate down Table Rock Drive, the gate and staircase remain hidden from Pacific Coast Highway, and contain no public parking inside the neighborhood, forcing visitors to find onstreet parking along the highway and then walk down to the beach.
Once down the stairs, the beach itself is made up of a couple small coves surrounded by clifftop luxury homes and stone points that form barriers to neighboring beaches.
Rock formations stand in the center of the beach, with the sandy shore providing an area to lay out at. Near the south end of the beach is a stone wall that combines with high tide to send sprays of mist into the air. Visitors climbing over the wall can find an idyllic smaller cove, and views of a natural rock arch through which the tide flowing into the next beach to the south can be seen.
There are no lifeguards here, and rip currents can be dangerous, making swimming at Table Rock a risky endeavor.
Table Rock Beach has trash, but no other amenities. The neighborhood at the top of the stairs is posted with No Parking signs and neighbors will actively have cars towed.
Beach hours are from 6am-10pm daily. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from June 15th-September 10th.
