Located in Falmouth, Massachusettes, Old Silver Beach is a great summer destination. Old Silver Beach has many amenities and great ocean views of Buzzards Bay. Lifeguards are available during summer months to protect families enjoying the warm and calm waters and soft sandy beaches. There are restrooms, picnic areas, and a food stand available. Swimming lessons are also available to partake in when in session.
This beach is divided into three sections; one for the general public, another for residents with beach stickers, and another for the Sea Crest Hotel. Each section has its own designated parking lot. All parking lots fill up quite fast, so an early start is suggested if you want to find a parking space. Each beach is separated by a small rock jetty, though all sides are equally quaint.
Even though all of the beaches are available to the public, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel portion of the beach is “off limits” to the public. Although you can walk onto the beach with no problem, beach security will check for hotel passes, which give hotel guests access to umbrella-covered chairs and beach side service.
Old Silver beach is a nice beach to spend the day with family, and although there are different sections designated for different people, with its many amenities, it is a nice way to spend a hot summer day down at the cape.
