Kenneth L. Wilson State Park, often just called Wilson State Park, was opened in 1979 and has been a popular destination ever since. The park features a campground, a picnic area, several trails, and a large pond. Several adventures in the Catskills are nearby, as well as the iconic village of Woodstock.

Wilson State Park may be best known for its ADA-accessibility. A floating canoe/kayak launch, the nature trail, fishing platform, wildlife viewing platform, and restrooms are all accessible. The park is open year round and features cross-country ski trails in the winter.

There are 71 campsites available, some of which are ADA-accessible. Many of them allow for trailers or RVs. Restrooms and showers are easily found, as well as potable water. Sites are reservable from May to early October.

A network of trails weaves throughout the park. Some parallel the shore of the pond, where it's easy to find wildflowers and watch birds, while others meander through the forest. Interpretive signs are interspersed periodically throughout the trails. There is also a mountain bike trail that loops through the woods.

There is currently no swimming allowed in the pond, but a floating boat launch provides access for canoes and kayaks. The park also offers boat rentals during peak season. The pond is popular among fishermen as well.
