This first-come, first-served campground does not take reservations, just like the other major campgrounds in the park. Located right on the shore of Jackson Lake, it offers many fun nearby activities. Paddle or stand-up paddleboard on the lake before supper and take in an educational talk from a park ranger at the amphitheater after dessert. There are a ton of wildflowers, bear boxes for food storage, toilets and camp sinks, and picnic tables at each site.

There are 60 tent sites in total, and the grounds are open from mid-June to early September. Most of the sites are up set away from the lake, but several are not too far from the water and have great views of the Tetons. Swimming is allowed, but do not bathe. Make sure you are bear aware and do not keep any food in your tent or on your clothes. Weather can change in an instant here, so be ready.
