Sand Dune Arch is located a short hike from Arches Scenic Drive in Arches National Park. Spanning several hundred feet, it's one of the park's easiest arches to access alongside several nearby adventures, including Broken Arch, Tapestry Arch, the Devils Garden, and several other formations.

The trailhead starts at the Sand Dune Arch parking area, and then splits into the two separate trails about 0.1 mile from the parking area, one of which leads to Broken Arch. The arch is not visible from the parking lot as it is tucked between sandstone walls that obstruct the view. However, the hike to just Sand Dune Arch is only 0.3 mile round trip on flat ground.

This is also one of the view trails, as short as it is, where you can find shade thanks to the narrow path between the surrounding walls. Though there are signs to stay off the arch itself, kids can play in the dunes on the path. The sand stays cool in the sun, so this is a good hike to do with young kids.
