From the parking area, cross over the railroad tracks and follow the riverside trail for .1-mile to the campsites. Each campsite offers a fire pit, picnic table and a metal food storage box. The food storage boxes are provided due to the prevalence of bears in the area. Food and other scented items are required to be secured in the boxes when not in use. There is no potable water provided. Water must be either hiked in or harvested from the nearby river and purified. A single composting toilet building is also provided for campers. All the campsites share access to a sandy beach with a large swimming hole along the beautiful Saco River.

During the summer months, you can expect large crowds and for the campsites to fill up quickly on the weekends.
