While Park City has many great reservoirs within a 20-minute drive, you actually do not have to leave Deer Valley to jump on the water with your kayak and stand-up paddleboard. The ponds of Deer Valley have become a hot spot for anyone looking to cool off or start to learn a new sport they find a bit intimidating. The location does not allow very long stretches of continuous paddling, but it is large enough to get some decent laps in. Most the people here are beginners trying out water sports in a relatively safe environment, and a handful are experienced paddlers looking to get some exercise within minutes from their home. The main pond is about a half-mile loop from the beach, and there is a large grassy lawn with a small sandy shore.

Their is a paved path around the ponds where people bike and walk their dogs as well as a pavilion with picnic tables. You can rent boards at the beach for $20 per hour through PCSUP. Main Street, Deer Valley Ski Resort and summer trails and Empire Pass to Guardsman's Pass are some nearby attractions. You can watch the family enjoy the water while having lunch on the patio at Deer Valley Grocery Cafe on site.
