Triple Tree Trail

The Triple Tree Trail is a local favorite with great views of Gallatin Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. The trail is well traveled year round by runners, hikers, mountain bikers, and skiers.

The trail kicks off with an easy uphill stretch through an open grassy slope. Briefly dip into an aspen grove and cross Limestone Creek. The trail winds up and down again before coming to a looped section in the forest. You can travel in either direction from the fork to reach a flower-covered meadow. There, soak in the valley views on the bench. On a clear day, the Bridgers, Tobacco Roots, and nearby Gallatin Peaks are visible.

Spring is an especially wonderful time to hit this trail. Find abundant flowers like arrowleaf balsamroot, white geraniums, and larkspur on sunny open patches along the trail.
