Seven Magic Mountains is a site-specific land art installation created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone at the Jean Dry Lake just south of Las Vegas. The seven pillars are comprised of 33 boulders painted bright colors that contrast with the desert's more subdued tones. The pillars stand about 30 to 35 feet tall, and the boulders weigh between 10 and 25 tons each. The installation is visible from Interstate 15, thought it is also possible to park and walk right up to the pillars. The installation opened in May, 2016, and will run for two years.
Visitors to Seven Magic Mountains can use their phones to access an audiotour while visiting the site by calling 702.381.5182. There are no amenities of any kind located at the installation.
