Amnicon Falls State Park offers 1.8 miles of trails on both sides of the river including a short trail around the island. In the winter there are 1.5 miles of snowshoeing trails. The park offers many picnic areas that make for a great stop for families to stop for a snack. If you want to make a weekend out of it, there's a campground that includes a playground.

When you arrive, follow the signs for the covered bridge that veer off to the right. This is the park's main attraction, and a parking lot is nearby. Once you park you'll be able to see the bridge. Before crossing the bridge, take the trail to the right to a view point below the bridge and waterfall. This is a perfect spot for photographers. Once you have your photo, head back up and cross over the bridge. You are now on an island, and you can follow the loop around and across over another bridge to find the other parking lots. There are other trails leaving from these parking lots, and in the winter these are designated snowshoe trails.
