Devils Bridge is an arch, which you are able to walk across, and it is a very popular hike near Sedona due to its short distance and picture opportunities. The road leading to the actual trailhead requires a four-wheel drive high-clearance vehicle, and the trailhead has minimal parking. However, there is paved parking available 1.1 miles from the trailhead right where the road turns to dirt. This parking area does require a Red Rocks Pass or a $5 day use fee. This parking area does provide vault toilets, whereas the trailhead parking does not. You can then hike the road to the trailhead, which is mellow but dusty. Make sure you bring plenty of water, as the road and trail are very exposed.

You will find the trailhead to your right off the road, 1.1 miles from the paved road. For first quarter mile the trail gradually climbs through a wash. After this, the trail climbs stairs that have been cut into the landscape to help with the steep incline for the remainder of the hike. At about the half-mile point there is an obvious trail that drops down to the left; you may follow this if you would like to get a view of Devils Bridge from below. Upon the final ascent the trail levels off and you are able to see Devils Bridge to your left. Follow the trail to walk across the arch, enjoy the views, and snap some photos. Descend the same way you came, and keep an eye out for the cairns and sign arrows to help you navigate your way back to the trailhead.

There are 4 main routes to the Devil's Bridge Trailhead (map pictured).

3 of the routes are accessible from the paved parking lot at the Dry Creek Vista Trailhead:
1) Hike 1.0mi down the 4x4 road to the Devil's Bridge Trailhead.
2) Take the 2.1mi scenic route on the Chuck Wagon Trail all the way to the Devil's Bridge Trailhead.
3) Take the Chuck Wagon Trail to where it intersects with the 4x4 road and take that to the Devil's Bridge Trailhead (not listed on map, but this was the route we took).

The other option is to park at the Mescal Trailhead which has room for about 20 cars to park right on the shoulder of the road. Then take the Chuck Wagon Connector Trail to the Chuck Wagon Trail (left fork) which will run into the Devil's Bridge Trailhead.

If you do not have a high-clearance vehicle that can take you straight to the Devil’s Bridge trail head, consider using Chuck Wagon trail to make your way there, rather than parking at the head of FR152. Chuck Wagon trail is a very enjoyable and easy 1.2 mile hike that will bring you straight to the Devil’s Bridge trail head. Taking this trail helps you avoid walking down a dirt road alongside the jeeps and 4x4s, and is currently not part of the Red Rocks Pass area, so parking is free. The trail is not heavily used (yet), so it offers a bit of solitude and serenity before making your way to the highly used Devil’s Bridge Trail. The trail offers beautiful scenery as well. You can park off of Long Canyon Road in a designated parking area (shares parking lot with the Mescal Trail Head). The Chuck Wagon Trail has multiple markers designating which direction to go to reach the Devil’s Bridge trailhead, so make sure to look out for those! Devil’s Bridge is a must for any Sedona visitor; the views are stunning and the hike along Chuck Wagon trail just adds to the overall experience.
