OP Adventure Review December 28-31, 2015

This last week has seen the addition of 30 more adventures to Outdoor Project, bringing the number of adventures published in December to a whopping 134! This a new monthly high, narrowly surpassing this year's October number. Everyone in the Outdoor Project Community can find even more hiking, camping, snowshoeing, kayaking, backcountry skiing opportunities in addition to spectacular parks and special destinations thanks to the tireless efforts of some stellar Outdoor Project Contributors. It's particularly wonderful to see some winter adventures rolling in, especially given the dearth of snow across the West in 2015. Before you dive into the Featured Adventures, check out a few of these for some tastes of winter:

Newton Clark Moraine, Ridge Between: You gotta love the look on the face of the skier about to drop in. Matthew King captures a quintessential moment in this great adventure.
Buffalo Mountain Snowshoe: This looks like a fantastic tour that leads over Colorado's Eccles Pass for excellent mountain views. If you're lucky enough to be in Colorado this winter, have a look at Karen's adventure.
Scott Hill Snowshoe: One look at the beautiful panorama of the Cottonwood Ridge should be all you need to put this adventure on your list. Matthew Durrant continues to show us some beautiful spots in Utah and Idaho.
The Loch Vale Snowshoe: Who doesn't want to snowshoe into Rocky Mountain National Park? But where to start? Jessica has a terrific suggestion with this adventure.
Echo Lake Snowshoe: Rini has been capturing some beautiful shots of some incredible spots...you really should check out her Whitney adventures, but start with this gorgeous and accessible snowshoe adventure near Tahoe.
Vista Butte Backcountry Ski: Our friends at Rare Earth Adventures have profiled another Bend backcountry staple. This is a sweet little spot with plenty of options for different conditions. Beautiful stuff.

3,000!

Finally, just in time for the end of the year, John Badila has submitted the 3,000th adventure to be published on Outdoor Project! This is a remarkable tally, and it is a testament to the work of hundreds of individuals who share a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to building a community based on that passion. Thank you to everyone who has shared their images, their stories, and their enthusiasm. We look forward to carrying this momentum into 2016 and seeing more from this remarkable community.
