At three-quarters of a mile long and wider than any other beach in Lake Tahoe, Nevada Beach is a prime location for swimming, boating, or just lounging around. With concession stands, stand-up paddleboard rentals, and picnic areas, this is one of the most popular beach destinations in the Tahoe area. Just 100 feet from the water sits Nevada Beach Campground, a large 49-plot campground with a variety of environments for car campers and RVs.
The closest sites to the entrance reside under the tall pines, while the further sites sit out in the open and offer beautiful views of the lake. These will be the most secluded sites, although everything in this campground is fairly close together. Do not expect to feel alone.
Each site has a picnic table and barbecue. There are large picnic and day use sites at the edge of the beach as well. Hiking is available nearby, including the 2.6-mile Lam Wa Tah Trail and the beautiful Castle Rock Loop. If you are looking for a campground close to the beach and don’t mind the neighbors, look no further than Nevada Beach Campground.
Nevada Beach Campground is open mid-May through mid-October.
