Devils Garden Campground is located deep in the interior of Arches National Park at the very end of the park's main road and adjacent to the Devil's Garden Trailhead. This is a no-frills national park campground with some water restrictions (no showers, no filling RV tanks), and it is the only campground inside the park. Devil's Garden Campground is a short drive from all of the park's features, and for those who want to hike or capture photos early or late in the day, it is an ideal home base.
The campground consists of a long road with sites on both sides and a small loop at the end. The sites vary considerably in terms of privacy, size, and the distance from the parking pad to the picnic table and grill. The space between sites also varies: some are right next door to each other, and others are some distance apart. Reservations are accepted and advised as this is a very popular campground. When making reservations, it is a good idea to look at a satellite view of the campground to determine size and location before booking. Some sites designated as "pull-through" are really just a wide spot on the side of the road that would be better for tent campers than for RVs.
Broken Arch Loop Trail begins and ends at the campground, and the trailhead for Devils Garden is near the campground entrance. Both provide excellent hiking and the opportunity to view several of the signature arches in the park. The campground is set in an area rich with sandstone fins and boulders that are great for climbing and exploring and that provide a scenic view from all the campsites.
NOTE: Camping is limited to is a seven days, and advanced reservations are highly recommended.
