Cenote Dos Ojos is a beautiful cave complex that has been built up to support not just those looking for a spot to swim, but tourists looking for the full package of snorkel and dive tours at a location with food and drink vendors, plenty of seating areas, and optional table massages right in the middle of the landscaped jungle environment. The beauty and appeal here is no secret, and as such, the crowds and prices reflect that.
The cenote is composed of bright blue water in different caves set about 50 meters apart from each other - hence the 'dos ojos'. Both caves are accessible, and those opting for a diving tour can start in one cave and pass through the cave complex to the other. The caves are large enough that most visitors stick to the main decks, and those looking to explore a little can walk around and find less crowded areas. Regardless, Cenote Dos Ojos is large, beautiful and worth a visit if you can handle the more commercial environment.
Life jackets are available at no cost at the cenote. Snorkel equipment is available for rent at the visitor center (MX$70). Lifeguards are onsite.
All visitors must stop at the Parque Dos Ojos Visitor Center and pay admission before proceeding to Cenote Dos Ojos. The Visitor Center will try to upsell visitors on snorkel and diving tours.
Cenote Dos Ojos is open daily from 8am-5pm. Admission is MX$350 per person, ages 7 and up.
