Cenote Saamal

Why punish people who are excellent swimmers and don't need life jackets??? You can simple have people sign a waiver. For this reason, I would not want to go to this cenote. I have noticed that a higher percentage of Mexicans are somewhat afraid of cenotes and can not swim, but these restrictions for those of us in the U.S, for example, who began to swim at the age of seven and who lived near the ocean....by forcing them to wear life jackets, takes all the fun out of the experience. What swimmer who is competent, wants to wear a life jacket??? This is ridiculous. The Mexicans should simple have, as I have said, have those who are competent swimmers, sign a waiver and assume are responsibility. I want to explore this cenote but when I found out about the life jacket requirement...decided not to go. Pathetic.
