Cenote Palomitas, along with Cenote Agua Dulce, is one of two breathtakingly beautiful cenotes operated out of the same property. Reached by traveling several kilometers down dirt roads on the outskirts of the Valladolid area, Cenote Palomitas is a large picturesque cenote with emerald-blue waters and a scenic opening in the ceiling that allows beams of sunlight to fall down on the water when the sun is in the correct position overhead.

Once descending the stairs into the cave, wide platform walkways descend to the water’s edge, where swimmers can jump in or grab a tube and float throughout the wide pool. Formations in stone line the walls, and ropes stretch across the water to give swimmers something to rest on. The cenote is a short walk from the parking area and the reception building. There is also a restaurant and bar located on the property.

Life jackets are available for rent from the reception desk. There are no lifeguards on duty here. Open hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is MX$100 per person.
