Willow Springs Road sits on the east side of Highway 191 north of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. The desolate landscape has a hard surface to support RVs and tents thanks to the expansive Navajo sandstone that stretches for miles.

Few juniper trees and brush dot the sand-covered stone, but the area is mostly devoid of shade. Most people here use RVs for this reason, but there are definitely tent campers who search out the few large trees. There are no set sites, but there are lots of obvious pull-outs and pretty much any open area on the flat stone can be claimed if not too close to the current occupants. There is a vault toilet on the south side of the area, but no water. This is a BLM campsite, so you can stay up to two weeks. You must pack out your waste.

I don't know the total number of sites because they are not numbered, but there is room for dozens upon dozens of groups and fairly large trailers. The area has some cool features besides being a free yet rugged site near the park. Mountain biking trails begin to the east of Willow Springs Road, which eventually enters the national park through a four-wheel-drive-only access point. There are also dinosaur tracks near the park's borders.
