Bicentennial Woods is located in northeast Indiana just a few miles from Fort Wayne, and it is a beautiful escape from the farms and plains that make up this region of the country. The parcel of land is one of the 53 protected properties open for public use that is under the care of Acres Land Trust. The area contains over 2.6 miles of trails highlighting creeks, a marsh, and rolling hills teeming with wildlife. The best way to experience the property is by traveling along the outer loops north and south of Willow Creek. These loops contain the best vantage points for viewing the natural beauty and the diversity of the terrain in Bicentennial Woods. This is a great spot for an early morning or late afternoon hike or run, and anyone spending some time near Fort Wayne should carve out a few hours to visit these woods.

This is just one of many ACRES Land Trust properties that are open to the public. BW is a year-round place to hike, bird-watch, or just get away from society for a few hours. The trails will get your heart pumping and the scenery is a great break from the corn and soybean fields of the Midwest.
