Outdoor Project is excited to announce the 2018 Block Party Festival series that will be traveling throughout the U.S. this summer. In 2017, Outdoor Project hosted a successful event series across the West that consisted of events in seven cities and that raised over $20,000 for local nonprofits in each city. The mission of the event series is to bring together the local community, build outdoor adventure stoke, and raise funds for local nonprofits.
The festival series kicks off in Austin, Texas, on May 19 on a seven-city tour across the United States. National sponsors include KEEN Footwear and Zeal Optics, with 1% for the Planet as the national non-profit partner. The summer festivals offer partner companies an opportunity to connect with Outdoor Project’s community and share their culture, brand, and commitment to local outdoor-related nonprofits.

Better Takes Action
Along with supporting local nonprofits, we have partnered with KEEN to share their Better Takes Action campaign and empower fans through KEEN's mobile action center. KEEN's on-site activation will be promoting voter registration, educating participants about causes related to the environment and our public lands, and encouraging them to take action by calling their local elected officials and expressing their opinions.
We look forward to celebrating adventure and community with all of you this summer.
If you are interested in sponsoring the event series, please reach out to our Events + Community Manager, Broche Fabian, at [email protected].
In times like these, when our air, water, climate, and public lands are under constant attack, we’re continuing our mission of taking action with renewed gusto—with a new campaign to activate KEEN employees and our fans.
Because … Better Takes Action.
“From the inception of this campaign, we set out with a simple goal: to inspire a call to action for our fans, our community, and our employees to engage their civic voice to protect open spaces and drive positive outcomes,” says Tyler LaMotte, Chief Marketing Officer at KEEN. “As a brand dedicated to making leading products for our fans to experience life outside, the aim is that together we can take action today for a better tomorrow.”
Whether it’s helping create a better world for future generations or enjoying better adventures today with our families, the only way to make anything better is to do something about it.
