The Sand Cove Primitive Camping Area is within a beautiful desert landscape along the Babylon Arch Trail near Leeds, Utah. The free campground has 12 sites for dispersed camping within a sandstone amphitheater with red rock on all sides. You are about a mile from the Virgin River at camp, which is an awesome bonus. You must reserve the site with a permit you can acquire here. You are allowed to bring your dogs, but you need to pack out all waste (yours and and any pet waste). There are hikers walking through the area while they are on the trail, but in the evening the trickle of people stops and you will probably have this place to yourself. Group size is limited to 20 people, and you can only stay seven consecutive days. There are no facilities or amenities of any kind here.
