The long loop trail follows the course of several shorter dedicated trails and pathways, as well as a few sections of connector, to form a 16 mile loop trail circling a portion of the city of Fullerton.
There are a few areas where trail users will find themselves on streets or sidewalks in order to connect to further portions of the path, however most of these areas are through low-trafficked residential areas.
As the longer loop is made up of smaller trails, different areas tend to have their own different feel to them. The Cottonwood Trail marks the beginning of the more arduous uphill section.
