    Tracing the contours of the mountainside, there are some appealing views of the harbor town below, along with some bird's eye views over the canyon.

    The trail takes a turn inland and makes a short jaunt through what feels like the island's secluded backcountry.

    The trail descends toward the golf course, with views of Avalon in the near distance.

    The end portion of the trail follows public access through an otherwise private golf course - following the asphalt path over the bridge and back out to Avalon Canyon Road.

    To complete the loop, the walking path up heads up Avalon Canyon Road toward Hermit Gulch Campground.
