    The path has a tendency to be overgrown, worn down only by the other hikers visiting the route. Though at its higher elevations, the ridge also gets a welcome cooling breeze.

    The Kauilau Ridge Trail comes to somewhat of an anticlimactic end at a wooden bridge, where it intersects with the Moalepe Trail.
