The start of the trail on the other side of the river is fairly brushy, and involves pushing through some awkward spaces.

Much of the trail is on steep ground over tricky roots and rocks.

As you gain elevation the branches thin away and it is a classic old growth forest. If it's wet the roots are very tricky.
