    While the trail shares a parking area with the more popular hike to the lower Kings Canyon falls, those heading to the upper falls should ignore the marked trail and follow the road that lies behind the gate to the right.

    The path soon crosses lower Kings Canyon stream and a lush grove of cottonwood trees. Enjoy the cool air and shade while you have the chance!
