The ultimate adventure guide
After one mile on Falls Road, turn left onto a well-defined, wooded trail toward the ski hut.
Snow might be patchy in places before the hut, so have your trekking poles or ice axe ready!
The snow thickens just after the ski hut, and you'll traverse a flatter area at the base of the bowl before climbing up.
The bowl starts mellow and then ramps up to a 45- or 50-degree slope.
Near the top of the climb, an ancient Jeffrey pine greets hikers.
Between rock bands lining the summit mound, several steep chutes offer launch points for ski mountaineers.
Wind chill at the summit can dip well below freezing, so layer up!
The view from the top is spellbinding, especially on high snow years.
