Dynamic clothing layers are essential: base and active layers, synthetic or wool shirt, and underwear, pants that can become shorts, a full thermal base layer (Patagonia Capilene), mittens, boots and wool socks.
Heat layers can include fleece, a mid-weight puffy jacket or a heavy weight belay jacket. A waterproof shell is important to protect down insulation from excessively wet weather.

You can also opt to ditch the tent and sleep in a hammock.

Hammocks make for a relaxing afternoon.
Your headlamp can also be your lantern at night.
